Fruit

yes fruit has carbs but it has all the nutrients our bodies need to perform well. It's not the same to swallow a handful of vitamins with a beer. The body needs real food in balance. More veggies than fruit for fiber which balances the blood sugar to prevent spikes in insulin... I'm baffled there are people out there that are trying to make fruit evil. If someone eats a whole watermelon now that's a problem but all our organs need the phytonutrients that just can't come from a bottle.

"all the nutrients" ? Seems unlikely, fruit is not a large part of the diet of the majority - once per day average according to http://www.cdc.gov/nutrition/downloads/State-Indicator-Report-Fruits-Vegetables-2013.pdf

Not a big fan of fruit, I would much rather have veggies. Eat a variety of foods and you will be just fine.

Fruit is great. However, just like pizza and chocolate and every other food, you need to eat it in moderation. Everything has calories and that needs to be taken into account.

I eat all the foods. I like fruit, but I don't eat it often surprisingly.

I eat fruit mostly in the morning - and maybe an apple around 3. I tend to get about 2-3 servings of it a day. I think that's plenty. But ask me again in the summer, when the watermelon comes out all the time....nom nom
