Hey there I'm a 23 yr old female and I'm looking for a good multivitamin. I also want to start taking fish oil as I've heard it can do many things to improve your health. I really hard a hard time swallowing pills so I would like some insight on gummy multivitamins. I'm currently not taking anything. Thanks

I believe one a day has an adult gummy. I do know there are gummy fish oil supplements, I think NatureMade makes them.
I take childrens multivitamin chewables. No shame!0 -
There are liquid fish oil supplements you can take. No, they aren't disgusting, the manufactures have a way of removing the fish taste. Just be sure to buy the brand that does. There are a few brands that make a berry smoothly flavor and it's actually really good. Check the refrigerated vitamins section of your health food grocery store if they have one, should be with the refrigerated probiotics and stuff.
I wouldn't recommend the gummy omega 3 supplements, you'd have to take like 10 of them a day to get an effective dose. You're looking for a dose of 1500mg omega 3 per serving: 700-800mg of EPA and 700-800 mg of DHA. The gummies just won't cut it, unless you want to burn through your cash and buy them by the case...0 -
Is there a reason you feel you need vitamins and fish oil, other than what you are getting from your regular diet? Do you have dietary restrictions, cannot follow a balanced diet because of health/budget/schedule or whatever reasons?
Check here for examples on who will actually benefit from supplements, and what types:

I would recommend Opti-Women Multi Vitamin, by Optimum Nutrition. Also, as far as fish oil goes I was told by a neurologist years ago that the only truly effective fish oil supplement is COLD PRESSED! I was able to find cold pressed fish oil pills from Whole Foods and they aren't expensive. Maybe 8.99 for 2 or 3 months?0

For any young woman who may have children, I suggest a multivitamin that includes Folic Acid. Most of the women's vitamins have them. Nearly everyone in the northern hemisphere is short on Vitamin D. Some women are low in iron; if you are one of them, take a multivitamin that includes iron.0

Good point. I would supplement vitamin D as D3 before the multi vitamin. Most people need at least 2500-5000 i.u. Luckily the pills are very small, so you shouldn't have a problem with those. If you have a thyroid issue you'll probably need even more. I have to take 15,000 i.u. Per day to keep my levels normal.0 -
