vitamins? supplements?

I was curious what vitamins and supplements anyone was taking. since starting my fitness journey my hair and nails have become quite brittle. My hair falls out more frequently. It's quite ridiculous. I'm realizing now it's probably lack of nutrition but are there any good vitamins to take? Someone said do a prenatal because that would help out a lot but I'm a bit iffy on that. I'm trying to increase protein too so I would love to know what you all use (hopefully something at reasonable price)

    I'd look at your overall nutrition rather than supplements. Vitamin supplements wont out run poor diet or lack of proper nutrition. Also maybe visit your doctor

    First and foremost make sure you're hitting minimum energy (calorie) targets for your health and then take a look at what you're eating. Much of what you are indicating is often a result of cutting too much fat out of the diet.

    Beyond that, supplement where you are deficient. I take a vitamin D supplement because I'm deficient (even though I get plenty of sun and eat plenty of veg, etc) and I take some milk thistle as an antioxidant and I cover my bases with a multi-vitamin...but really, I get most of what I need from my diet.
