swollen fingers

I have been married for 5 years, and in that time I have gained about 40 pounds. My fingers have swollen to the point that I cannot get my ring off. I know that once I lose wt, my fingers will go down. I was just wondering, is there anything I can eat or do to speed this process along?

To speed up weight loss? Or take down finger swelling? You just have to log accurately and it at an appropriate deficit to lose fat, there is no magic pill.
Sometimes my fingers get really swollen if I've had a lot of sodium and am walking around/exercising a bunch the next day. I don't really think that is what you're talking about though?

you could put some lard or something on your fingers to try and loosen the ring and make it slip off...
as far as weight loss goes..get a food scale, weigh all solids, log all your food into MFP, and eat in a calorie deficit...0 -
Why do you need to get your ring off???? <evil grin>
Otherwise, yeah, just gotta lose some weight. Unfortunately our bodies don't ask our opinion of where we'd like to lose it first though.0 -
Well, there's swollen fingers and then there's fat fingers.
If they're swollen, taken them off before working out or spending a lot of time in the heat, and cut your sodium. Drink more water.
If they're just fat, then you have to diet down to lose some weight. That's not going to be a quick fix. I just stopped wearing my rings when my fingers got too fat to get them off comfortably. I just started wearing them agai a few weeks ago. The good news is, your fingers might shrink down before bigger body parts!0 -
I am at my pre baby weight and in better shape and sadly still can't get my rings back on.0
