I have been in a plateau for about a year now and considering introducing the commando diet to shock start my body. Has anyone done this? What was your experience?

Day 1

Lunch 3 eggs
Dinner 3 eggs

Day 2
1 egg or grapefruit
Fresh fruit salad
Steak, Tomatoes, Celery and cottage cheese
DDay 1
Breakfast 3 eggs
Lunch 3 eggs
Dinner 3 eggs
Day 2
1 egg or grapefruit
Fresh fruit salad
Steak, Tomatoes, Celery and cottage cheese
Day 3
1 egg or grapefruit
Fish, Tomatoes, spinach and Salad
Lean Lamb chops, tomatoes and salad
Day 4
1 egg or grapefruit
Green salad and tomatoes
3 eggs and dried toast
Day 5
1 egg or grapefruit
Fish, Tomatoes, and Salad
Lean ham salad, tomatoes and spinach
Day 6
1 egg or grapefruit
3 eggs dried toast
Steak Celery, tomatoes and cottage cheese
Day 7
1 egg or grapefruit
Fresh fruit salad
Lean lamb chops salad and tomatoes
Black coffee, water or pure lemon juice can be taken with the meal. Eat exactly what is stated where amount are stated, where they are not eat as much as you want.
DO NOT EAT BETWEEN MEALS. No dressings or sauces only vinegar is allowed
DO NOT use this diet more than four times a year. There should be a loss of up to 1 stone, variations of the diet will have a MAJOR effect on the amount of weight you lose.
Weigh yourself at the beginning and at the very end of the diet.

Not one commando would eat that diet.

There is no such thing as "shocking" your body.

It is an arbitrary list of foods which combine to make far less calories than anyone over 5 year old needs.

There is nothing magic about the combination of foods.

    Just... no.

Diets like this do not have adequate nutrition. A calorie deficit is the only way to lose weight. Just log accurately and eat a deficit.

Sorry, had to click and see what this was about because when I saw "commando diet" I thought how can not wearing underwear help you lose weight!!!

A 1 year plateau is not a plateau, it's maintenance. Recalculate your BMR and TDEE properly and log everything accurately with a food scale instead of eating only 9 eggs a day.

Give it a try if you want. :) It is low calorie and low carb. And you will probably lose some water weight. But it is not going "shock" your system.

    Good!
There is no need to starve yourself.
Add some weight training (heavy lifting) into your workouts, it works wonderful!

So have you been logging daily over that year ?

Cos you've found your current maintenance

Now you can start from there ...but wear pants :)

That diet you posted is ridiculous but I see you know that

That's a lot of eggs. I don't see regular pooping in your future.

I lift without wearing underwear all the time and I've lost weight. Commando diet seems pretty legit to me.

This is a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE diet!! It brought back horrendous memories because I tried it several times FORTY years ago. It's restrictive. It's punitive because it punishes you for needing to lose weight. It removes all freedom of choice to eat things you like.

Stop it. Dieting should never be torture. It should never be so restrictive. If you lose weight on this diet, you will never keep it off because you'll never learn to fit a full compliment of foods into your life. Ugh, I'm almost sorry I opened this thread. This diet used to make me dread mealtimes.
