Hellofresh calorie count estimates a bit out?

I'm having the minted lamb burgers for dinner tonight
However, the calorie count per burger (as that's one serving) is over 1000, that seems a bit off to me. Putting the values into mfp recipie builder, it comes out more around the 500 mark which seems much more reasonable.
Which estimate should I go with here?

I guess it would depend if you are using the items that actually come in the plan or using substitutes.0

Does that include the buns, and other sauces or miscellaneous stuff, you might put in the burger? I had an Angus beef burger home made the other day, and that come to 700 cals, same size as your mint burger, but I had 10 grams of cheese and half a TSP of burger sauce in my burger with onions and a side salad.0

hmm, well 250g lamb mince is about 540 cal. Add the buns and cheese, I believe the cal count is for the 2 person recipe in total. I think you can halve the cal count for 1 serve.0

It does include the bun and the cheese, yes
I was thinking the same! The website claims that is the calories per serving though...but that can't be right. That's more than a McDonalds burger and fries!0 -
Given the fact that they're unlikely to exaggerate the calories, I think you should accept the number..... There is probably more added fat than you think. In the meat, on the bun, etc.0

Assuming a bun that's on the large side, it'd come in at 750 or so I believe.. what I find most confusing is that their ingredients don't all double when the serving size of the recipe does (2-->4 people, lamb mince goes from 250--> 450). I know it's not a huge difference, but still..0

Going by the values on the recipe cards I've found them to pretty accurate as far as I can tell.
Remember HF is *not* diet food, it is not calorie controlled. It is however all quite good quality, tasty, natural food, and they provide a good amount of it.0
