Hey guys,
I'm a beginner, meaning I have never weight trained ever! I heard that weight training is the best way to lose weight but I have no idea how to begin. Anyone out there that can help?

Weight training will burn some calories, but the main reason you would weight train while losing fat is to preserve the muscle mass you currently have while in a caloric deficit.
If you're in a caloric deficit in order to lose fat, then it doesn't matter too much what type of weight training you do.0 -
Take a look at any number of beginner programs:
- Stronglifts 5x5
- Starting Strength
- New Rules Of Lifting For Women
- Strong Curves

I've been weight training while losing fat and it's a delicate balance. What you eat has a major impact on how effective it is. Starting Strength is a great start!0

Fat loss comes from what and how much you eat. It is recommended to lift weights so you can retain muscle mass. Taken together, that gives you a better body composition in the end. Vorgas listed some good programs.
