Music can make or break your workout! Meaning, it can motivate you to keep moving or not. I'm a spin instructor and have been a passionate about exercise and nutrition my whole life. I make music mixes for my spin class that are 45-50 minutes long. The mix includes a warm-up song or two, then a mix of music with faster and slower beats for picking up the pace, slowing down the pace with and without tension on the bike. And then end with a couple songs for slowing down, bringing the heart rate down and time to stretch. I've found that if I use my spin mixes for almost any other cardio workout, I just use the beat to make it an excellent interval training. Works great on the elliptical for sure...fast songs, low tension and moving at a good clip. Slower songs, adding the tension on so I'm right in beat with the music and pushing hard to keep it up. It works with walking or running too. Use the music to cue you to move faster, work harder or slow it down. Mix it up and have some fun! If you need any music suggestions I'm here for you!
