I've had both. For the most part they have the same features and track the same things. The biggest differences I've marked as a pro or con for each.
Fitbit
Pro- conveys a lot more information and syncs with a ton of apps and the data is easy to read. The new ones have a HRM built in
cons- I've lost three of them while wearing them. I've also noticed that it records vibration from driving as steps, which means it gives you calories burned for activity when you weren't actually being active .
jawbone
Pro- steps are accurate, have has one for a year now and have never had it vanish from my wrist.
Cons- you can only view the data through your phone and it doesn't always play nice with its partnered apps.
So both are nice and about the same price. I have to admit that I really did like my Fitbits a more but the cost breakdown after losing three within a year just wasn't worth it to me. If you aren't running all over town everyday, I would recommend Fitbit as you can find it after the clasp came undone. Otherwise definitely the jawbone, the built in computer wraps around your wrist meaning you don't need a clasp on it at all.0 -
Thanks very much for your reply.
I have heard that the FitBit isn't as accurate in tracking your steps as the JawBone is. So I'm swaying a little more towards a JawBone at the moment0 -
Are you looking at the regular Up or the Up 24? I don't think the Up syncs via bluetooth with your phone, you have to manually connect it. I have an Up 24 and the Fitbit Charge HR. I love all of the data I get from the Fitbit, especially with the heart rate info and that I don't have to let it know I am falling asleep. But I like the app and social fun that the Up has over the Fitbit app.0

Vivofit 2! Got mine a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! It's waterproof so I don't have to take it off to shower, do dishes, or even swim (not that I've actually swam since I got it, lol!). Also, it never needs changing. It's got a battery that's supposed to last a year and can be replaced.0

I got a fitbit one in January. I keep it clipped on my jeans pocket or waistband if not pocket. I've not had any trouble with it coming loose and I really like it.0

I have had my Jawbone for almost a year...non blue tooth. I love it.
I have had my fitbit for 3 months (won it at work) don't like it at all...inaccurate at best.0 -
Groupon has both Jawbone UP and UP 24 right now. Great prices compared to retail.
