Im feeling fed up today. I wondered if sometimes other people felt the same when counting calories?

I'm only small and my diary is set to lose 0.5 lbs a week because I don't have much to lose. I have been steadly losing about 0.5 a week on average. I have to work really hard for that 0.5 loss as well.

My main problems are weekends. I meet family and friends. It always involves food and drink. Dispite my best choices I always go over and it gets frustrating. Im less active despite doing my work out because im not at work and I have a very active job. Anyhow I go over during the weekend, I hate seeing my diary in red negative number's. I see it as a failure. Despite being a weekly deficit which is why I still loose. I guess it's more of a mental thing. I hate seeing my diary in the red.

If it wasn't for social events on the weekend I think I would get to my goal weight so much quicker.

Anyhow....just really wanted to get that off my chest.

    I understand. With my stats, MFP has me losing .3 lb/wk eating 1200 calories. Apparently, maintenance will be 1340 calories, which is rather sad.

    If the red bugs you, move yourself to Maintenance on Weekends.
    The main thing is that you are below your deficit for the week -- the daily average counts and you are doing great with that. :)

    Thanks for the responses. I appreciate the support, nobody I know counts calories or uses myfitness pal. So they just don't get it.

    It really just messes with my head seeing my diary in red on the weekends despite my best efforts. I am quite hard on my self. I will try switching to maintance on the weekend to see if that helps.
