Tutorial on using web site?

Is there somewhere we can find a general tutorial on how to enter your foods to make the food diary more "intuitive". I've tried several times over the past few years and it just gets too burdensome to look up foods? What is the "my foods" tab for? If I could just enter my foods without looking thru the entire database it would be easier. But I don't know how to enter anything there. I realize the "frequent" and "recent" tabs have most of my foods, but I still have to scroll thru them to find what I want. I'd like to name them myself so it is easier to find quickly.

This is the third time in the past few years I've come back to try it again because I know I need to keep track of what I eat in order to lose. Any advice or tips?
