So I am back to trying out this diet/exercise thing. My doctor is pretty mad at me. In any case, I started at the gym a couple weeks ago and have taken it slowly. I am a full time worker and a full time student, so I have limited time, but have set aside studies 3 days a week to go to the gym. The only problem is...the calorie tracker here limits to 1200 calories a day, but my doc says 1500 low fat/low cholesterol. Another is, I just had surgery and I am not allowed to sweat for 2 weeks. So my exercise is going to be very low impact, low work. Any thoughts?

To change the calorie goal you need to change from 2lbs per week to maybe 0.5lbs per week.
Mfp just gives you a set goal based on that.
Take it easy in working out if just had surgery! Maybe incline walking on treadmill?0 -
I gave up....again. but I am back at it. Gym plan is swimming to start. We will see what happens.0
