Breakfast Smoothies
I love a good smoothie for breakfast. :drinker:
I just tried a Apple and Almond Butter Smoothie and it was SO YUMMY
Just wondering what you've tried and liked or tried and maybe tossed away.
Haha....If I know what you tossed I might not try it myself.
Anyways here is what I put in the Apple & Almond Butter Smoothie:
1.5 gala Apples*
1 Tbs of Almond Butter
6oz of Soy Milk
3 Ice Cubes
I normally put whey protein in my smoothies, but figure I didn't need it since I was using the Almond Butter.
I would probably only use 1 Gala Apple next time, the first one I cut was bruised so that's how I ended up with the .5 :ohwell:

I usually have my smoothies later in the day, but this is my recipe
- a few frozen strawberries
- a few frozen mango chunks
- a few frozen pineapple chunks
- 3/4 cup of EAS Carb Adventedge Vanilla Protein Shake
- 1/2 cup Dole Orange Pineapple Banana juice
- 1/2 cup 0% Fage Greek Yogurt
Quite tasty and creamy0 -
We love smoothies for breakfast.
Our regular is a chocolate banana peanutbutter smoothie.
We make our own yogurt so lots of times I'll strain the yogurt to make a greek style yogurt that is lower in carbs and higher in protein.
1 cup greek yogurt
1 small banana
2 Tbls peanut butter
1 heaping Tbls cocoa powder
I blend it all in a blender and if its too thick to blend good I'll add a couple of ice cubes to it.
My favorite smoothie ever!0
