Why are the calories from Runkeeper - so incorrect in MFP?

Been using these two apps for a long while syncing data from RK to MFP. In the last 4 months or so - something is drastically changed between the two.
I have been using RK for my 35 min walks for over a year now - I walk the exact same route every single day. I walk on the same bits of concrete, cross at the same points and with this logic - the cals should generally be the same after each walk.
But lately with RK - a walk that should be around 250 cals (Averaged using data from 150 walks) is now coming into MFP at like 425?
So is it a MFP issue or is RK totally fubared? Because something has changed drastically. And I cannot seem to notify RK about anything as their support is almost invisible.
