I've cut everything bar squash, water and tea but have forgotten to log it since I started dieting. Should I start to log it? Thanks

If you're tracking calories, any beverage with calories should ideally be tracked. Personally I don't bother with water or other calorie-free drinks.0

Yeah I thought so. Black current squash is like 5 cals so I guess in theory it can add up!0

Wait, I'm confused, are you only eating squash? Are you drinking some kind of squash?0

It's a kind of British soft drink, I believe.0 -
Ha yeah janejelly has got it. It's a fruity drink.0

Ah OK!! lol. Well I think it's up to you. With things that are in the 5 kcal range I vary on whether I'll bother to log. E.g., I don't log my coffee, but I do log the milk I put in it.0

Great, thanks0

5 calories is about 21 kilojoules here and I would most certainly log that. I eat little sugar free lollies that are about that amount and log them. I also log the sweetener put in my coffee sometimes and it's 1 kilojoule.0

log anything and everything that goes in your mount, drink lots of plain water to help wash you out.0

Everything counts.0

if it has calories, i log it.
drinks without calories, sometimes i do, sometimes i dont.0 -
I don't bother entering the black tea but I do enter the milk I put in it, same with coffee.0

heck yeah! I prefer not to drink my calories, though. I'd rather have some good ole food and just drink diet dr. pepper or water or coffee. Yiippppeee!0

I would say yes definitely log every drink. Weight it too because it does add up. I log tea and coffee as well even if no calories. I do not log water.0

I don't log tea and coffee (I drink them black). I occasionally drink those Bai5 things that have like 10 calories and log them.0

Yep. This woman inspired me to log my garlic. Dang you.0 -
If it has a single calorie… count it. I even log celery for heavens sake. Personally, I will even log my water and 0 calorie vitamins.0

I did that too the other day and was shocked to learn 50 grams of garlic is 75 calories . And that’s not that much garlic for someone who loves the stuff as much as I do.
Everything adds up, OP. Better safe than sorry with the logging, is what I say.0 -
The only items I don't log are water and black coffee/ teas, and coke zero.0

I log drinks that have any calories, even if they are only a small amount.0

What the H are you putting 50 grams of garlic in?! That is a lot. I haven't weighed my garlic but I only use a clove.0 -
What they said if you want a truly accurate log then you should log everything. 5cals wouldnt make much difference to me so I dont bother. the only drink I have with significant calories I have would be milk. I always have a reserve of exercise calories to absorb any oversight,so am less bothered.0
