Hey everyone my name is DaleYah and I have been struggling for so long with my weight. I am 26 Yrs old, wife and mother of two beautiful girls and I have been on a rollercoaster about my weight. I don't have an issue with eating healthy I love fruits and veggies its just motivating myself to lose weight and sticking with a daily fitness routine that can fit in with my schedule while I'm home with my girls and actually getting up and doing it not just for me but for my girls...

Hi DaleYah,
Try to find activities that you and your girls can enjoy together. Maybe walking to a nearby park and playing catch or frisbee, tennis, swimming, or skating. Walking is one of the best forms of exercise and a good one to start out with. I like to take walking tours of my neighborhood and discover new places that way. Once you get in a routine, you can start adding more workouts to your schedule.
Also definitely start logging everything you eat so you can learn how many calories the fruits and veggies are.0 -
Any exercise is better than no exercise, incorporate exercise into playtime with your kids, go for a walk, run around at the park, have fun! Run/walk around the block a few times with them (I do this with my 3 girls when I don't have anyone to watch them while I run ). When I'm at work and don't get to run because I work 12 hour shifts, I always use the stairs, no exceptions!!! You can do it!!! If your babies are too young to walk with you, put them in the stroller and go for it!0

When my kids were little, we'd turn on the music and do "dance party". A few years later we got a Wii and would do Dance Revolution on it. Now that my daughter is a pre-teen, she likes to do Zumba because it's super fun and it doesn't matter what you look like. There are so many free options on demand on t.v or the internet that you will likely find something you will be able to do with your kids.0

Good responses so far, but wanted to mention your thread title: motivation. Every minute you WAIT to feel motivated is another minute lost. Instead, you DECIDE that you will get healthy, be more active, set a good example. etc. Decide, make a plan, and just do it. Waiting until you feel like it is a waste of time. Some days you will feel more driven than others, but regardless, you stick to your plan.0

You really dont have to exercise if its hat big of a chore for you as weight loss if foremost about calorie control with the biggest part of that being moderating what you eat. Motivation really comes from you, so inderstand what reasons there are that makes you want to lose weight and then decide if they are strong enough to persuade you to do something about it.Its straightforward consistency and a bit of a mind game after that, but I wouldnt call it hard if you are commited.
The nice thing is that you cna have a diet plan that fits just you and your lifesyle. I would echo above in finding exercise you can enjoy and generally moving more. Walking or swimming are great starts but playing with your kids in he park would be a gentle way to start.
The first thing you need to sort out would be logging and weighing your food, so you know whether you are at deficit. It will show you what you eat and whether thats too much.0
