Hey y'all I'm mainly here to get the support of like-minded people like myself who are looking to drop the lbs. needed to live a better and healthier lifestyle. A lot of people in my family (mainly on my fathers side) are very obese and I've always had it in the back of my mind that I don't want to end up like that, while I am not as fit and healthy as I should be I do manage to make sure I never get that bad off, which brings me to why I am here. A little more about myself... I am a 31 year old male and my starting weight was 244 lbs, I am currently down to 230 lbs and Ideally would like to get down to about 175 lbs which would bring my total weight loss to 69 lbs. I'm using the Myfitnesspal as well as running 3-4 times a week and have noticed a difference in the way I feel. If anyone has any tips or advise for me it would be appreciated and also if you'd like feel free to add me, the extra motivation would be welcoming.

Welcome to MFP. Running is something I recently added to my daily routine. I'm not fit yet so I can't run for long. I tend to go for long walks in a nearby park. I do 15 laps, most walking and some running. I'm slowly increasing the number of laps I can run. It's a lifestyle thing and I know the more I stick at it the longer I'll be able to run.

Congrats on making a great decision for your health.
