9 days under my belt

I started using MFP 9 days ago and so far have really like it. I find myself trying to constantly get more protein. I have more energy than before which is saying something raising two eleven year olds. I need friends and good recipes or tips. Not computer savvy but coming along. I have 100 pounds to lose. My weight has always been up and down and a constant struggle. I used to want to lose weight for looks but now at 47 it is for health purposes. I had surgery on my knee in July and it is painful much of the time. I appreciate any tips and support I can get. Thanks.
