In feeling about lost !
I eat around 1200 cals a day sometimes less and I usually walk at least 10000 steps a day usually more, I'm not eating fatty foods but somehow I've put on 1lb ? Can anyway suggest why this is ?
Thanks

Nobody should be eating less than 1200 calories and walking 10,000 steps a day
Height, weight, activity level (excluding exercise), goal weight loss per week and how much do you want to lose

It isn't time to panic yet.
It's one pound.
Carry on as you are, give it another week and start to worry if you put on another few pound.

1lb is a fluctuation - sodium, change-up in exercise, hormones around ovulation / period - body weight can fluctuate by about 5lbs due to just water weight
but more importantly, I don't think you're addressing this right if you're using MFP as a tool so can you answer the questions in my post above and we can try to give you specific help0 -
I can gain a lb between getting up and having a couple of glasses of water. I can gain 4+ lbs in a day....
Why are you restricting calories so much, doing so many steps and avoiding fat?0 -
what they said fluctuation. Natural with the body just doings its thing. understand why and dont fret.0

I'm retaining fluid at the moment and I'm up 5lbs in 2 days. Yup, 5 POUNDS. Not worried though, I know I've been eating ok and I can tell when I'm retaining fluid (puffy fingers and ankles, can't suck my tummy in properly) and it will go away.0

IF you have been only doing this for a week or two (deficit and walking 10,000 steps) then this is not enough time to give your body time to adjust.
Secondly, adding activities or in your case approx 5 miles a day in steps you will retain a bit more water and this will tip the scales upwards sometimes by 5 pounds. and if you have higher sodium in your day than recommended well this to is a factor too.
Not enough time to worry about this and make sure you drink plenty of water (and yes drinking more water does aid in the water retention)...stay hydrated..0 -
