    You don't legally need permission to photograph anyone, even children, in public places. On private property, it's up to the property owner.

    yeah it's sort of douchey- but it makes sense.

    of course it could. - but adding plates is a pain in the *kitten* when you're in a hurry- I saw a guy literally RUNNING from one end of the bar to the next while his buddy was pressing to failure and when he was done- he would fling the plates to the ground and run to the other side and drop that plate.

    I think it's personally excessive- but I understand the need to not want to add plates. I do it quiet a bit on bench- add as many small plates as I can if I'm going up and coming back down- it's a pain to switch for a bigger plate.
