I am just at my ten pound mark for loss! Should I input to calculate a new calorie goal or should I wait and eventually mfp will alert
Me to do it?? I can't imagine eating any less calories! I still barely make it some days. I have it set at 1.5 per week.

I do not use the Iphone so I had no idea that MFP would alert you...
But yes you should consider reassessing your numbers at the 10 pound mark..0 -
I read on one of the boards that mfp will alert me.....but I haven't seen it happen.0

I had it happen once on the website. I however have a tendency to mess with my goals page well before the notification would show up.
If your calorie goal is 1200 though (I don't know if it is just mentioning it in case), you won't get notified since 1200 is the lowest MFP will go.

This is what happens on the website when you log a weight that is 10lbs lower than the last time you recalculated your goals:
(it won't happen if you have custom goals I believe)

yes mfp will ask you if you want to recalculate your goal I only did it once. I started out over 1300 calories per day.
when I said yes to recalculate my goal was set to 1280. I have trouble eating that low consistently. the next time it asked me if I wanted to recalculate I said no. I don't mind losing slower, and I don't eat back exercise calories.0 -
Just update it. To it manually if you want by setting your goal to maintence and then back to weightloss.
I would think updating it more often is better than leaving it for mfp to do it.
More frequent updates means smaller adjustments0 -

Why not set your weekly goal lower or is it as low as it goes before maintenance?
Seems your method is just adding in more variables.
