lots to lose in for a long haul

mom of 3 stepmom of 2 adopted my youngest 1 so 6 kids all together, always put them and my hubby first. I recently got to my highest at 298lbs. I live in Michigan with a condition called cold urticaria meaning I am allergic to the cold. I know, why do I live in Michigan then....well family. we have a large supportive family on my husbands side in which we like to stay close with. My goal weight is 160lbs. I gave up on gyms cuz lets face it with that many kids and a husband, I never made it. So hubby bought me a treadmill and on my way I went! I have been with MFP for a couple weeks, do at least 30 min exercise everyday, eat over my calorie limit every thursday as my free day but still keep track. I love to cook for my family but the kids are picky, some will eat one thing others wont so now its to the point where I cook a base meat with multiple sides and extra veggies for me because after 21 years of being Mom and eating what the kids will eat, I am tired of pasta sides and potatoes.lol I have had my treadmill for 11 days and walked 9. I also like gardening, carpentry, and do alot of home remodeling. You would think with how active I am I wouldnt be a size 22 but I am and am working even harder to get down because on top of my winter weight because I cant get outside, I also quit smoking 16 weeks ago and added another 30lbs with that as well. Wow I am chatty today but for anyone interested, here for a long haul. Thts my intro, add if you want

I'll add you, I have 3 kids of my own and custody of a teenager. Its hectic here. We have the same food problems. I have to cook more because we all don't like the same sides.0
