My Progress... so far.

Hello Everyone,
My name is Johnny. I work a very sedentary job as a Linux Administrator at a large hosting company. I don't get a whole lot of exercise. I have always been overweight. About 2-3 years ago my step-father passed away and at that time I decided I needed to take better care of myself. I joined a gym in August 2011 and did good to lose a sum of about 30 pounds until I went on a cruise. That cruise broke my new habits I was trying to form and I started to gain weight and and then some more past the 30 pounds I had already lost.
I did nothing for the next year until in December 2012 I weighted myself at work just for kicks and giggles and was astonished that I weighed in at 325 pounds! I was not only embarrassed, but concerned about where my health was going. I decided right then and there that I needed to do something NOW before it is too late.
And thus I began... It is now June and after 6 months of hard work I have lost a total of 79 pounds! My goal is to get my weight down to 200 pounds, but I'll see where I feel from there if I should continue trying to lose weight or maintain my weight. Below is a picture of my success so far. I still have 46 more pounds to go before I hit my goal weight.
There really is no secret. Just eating less and keeping track of calories, carbs, sugar, and fats. If you keep those in check at all times it really helps you lose the weight. That and a little exercise here and there ^_^. I hope that this post inspires someone to keep on track, to not give up as I did the first time, and to start losing the weight NOW as it may be your last chance.
