How do those of you who travel a lot meet your macros?

I won't have a problem with the calories- it's macros I'm concerned about, specifically protein! (Without access to a refrigerator while on the go it's harder to get it than carbs or fat, 'cause I eat most of my protein in dairy/lean meat/beans and legumes) I'd rather eat whole foods most of the time, so any suggestions involving fruits/veggies/lightly processed foods without artificial sweeteners, too much sugar or too much sodium preferred, but I'll take any ideas I can get. :)

Fats on the go(peanuts, almonds, cashews, avacado, nut butter). Proteins(canned chicken and fish, chicken salads) #Airport food.

Boiled eggs, tuna packets, cottage cheese, yogurt. All of those are pretty packable (may need an ice pack) or pick-upable at grocery stores/convenience stores/drugstores/gas stations.

Define travel a lot? Like, overnight business trips? Vacations? Or just spending a lot of time commuting every day?

Oh, just commuting? Get a lunch bag and an ice pack and you can take pretty much anything.

Good idea! How long can ice packs last...? Are there any that will go for like 8 hrs...?

I have an insulated lunch box and I throw a couple of those ice pack things in there to keep everything cold. I've never had any issues. I brown bag it everyday...and like today, I have a large garden salad and some leftover grilled chicken from the other night with 1/2 an avocado for lunch; greek yogurt and some almonds and an apple for snacks and my whey powder in a shaker.

HB eggs in their shells will last fine for a full day at room temperature in my purse (tucked into a baggie so I can peel & eat then discard shells when a garbage is available. Humous, jerky, mini tins of tuna. Sturdy veg like celery sticks, broccoli or cauliflorets, carrots, zucchini coins or spears, even cuke spears are all fine at room temp. I brown bag for 1AM dinner at work all the time (as you can imagine, the only places open are fast food joints).
