so in about 143 pounds and I'm weight lifting to you know get stronger
after a workout should I have a protein shake with a meal of a protein shake with a full meal

I eat slot since I have a decently high metabolism or is it best to have my meal After the shake with some carbs

I read online about how the nutrients in your meal absorbs too slowly so I'm just wondering what I should do

I usually have a protein shake right after a workout, then followed it up with a normal meal somewhat later. So if I work out late morning, I have a shake when I get back for lunch, then early afternoon follow it up with something more normal. I work from home and gym is 5 minutes away, so it's pretty easy for me to space smaller meals throughout the day.

1 scoop of ON Gold Standard Whey mixed with 1% milk (it tastes better) is 220 calories and gives you 32 g of protein.

It's not required, and having a good meal will probably provide same results (I think the jury is mixed on the post workout nutrition), but I believe it helps and it's a quick way to get the right balance of protein/crabs along with some BCAAs right after a workout.

I have a meal - high carb, protein, low fat - when I get home from the gym. I don't feel the need to down a protein shake the minute I stop training, but eat within an hour....
