I had my final baby 3 years ago after two previous c-sections.I feel like no matter what I do this "pooch" does not go away and never will.I already carry all my extra weight in my stomach.currently at the most disgusting I have ever felt.I started school fulltime,I am a mom of three girls in activities and we don't get home till late.they always have a healthy meal one way or another but I tend to not care about eating for myself till they are in bed and I know that is bad for weight loss.please help with any suggestions on exercises for post c-sections.my problem is late night eating and portion control

I had 2 c-sections, and my youngest is almost 3 like yours (and I am D.O.N.E.!). I hate my stomach, but I don't think the c-sections really matter. I just need to lose more weight. I don't necessarily need completely flat abs, but I'd like my stomach to be a lot smaller.
I know it's hard being a mom. But it sounds like you need to focus on the basics of healthy eating and exercise to lose weight in general. Eat the same healthy meals they do. For exercise, nothing will spot reduce, so you have to just exercise to lose weight overall. I'm 20lbs down since I started getting serious, and my next goal is another 5 lbs (but will probably push for at least 10 more total to feel better about my stomach!).
Good luck mama! And congrats on going back to school!0 -
More...I forgot to say that I eat dinner with my kids nice and early every night (5pm) then I don't eat again until the next day. I used to snack at night but now I just go to bed early. Especially if my husband goes to bed early...in the past I'd watch a guilty pleasure tv show and snack, but now I get my butt to bed early.0

Yeah, I don't think that the c-section part really matters for most women. Pregnancy in general is going to tend to you leave you with stretched out skin, especially if you don't lose the weight soon afterward. Get your diet in order and then add in exercise that you enjoy as it will be more likely for you to stick with it.0

I had three c-sections in just over four years and for a long time I blamed my appearance on that. While it's true that having my abdominal muscles sliced open that many times didn't help, neither did the junk food I was eating, nor the lack of exercise. When I got serious about eating well and working out, I lost four inches from my midsection in 9 weeks.
My "babies" are now 13, 11 and 8, and very active. I work out at 5:30 or 6 am because that's when I'm not busy running them to their activities. This way no one has to give up their exercise, as it's important for all of us. I'm not a morning person, but when I decided that getting fit was important to me, I found the will to get up and get it done.
I'm not telling you it will be easy. I'm telling you it will be worth it.0 -

Do you count calories? Start there.
Can't make any promises on how tight your stomach will be (babies ruin stomachs...or so I hear)...but if you want to lose the fat you will only do that if you are eating at a deficit. There really isn't any "post c-section" exercises...but doing overall strength training and a little cardio will help. Use calorie counting to help limit your portions.0 -
C-sections might live you a small flap of skin, plus after pregnancies your skin might refuse to get as tight as it used ot be, c-section or not. But there is a difference between loose skin and belly fat. For fat, you do what everyone else does to lose weight, change how much you eat.0

My stomach got pretty flat after 3 c-sections, but I lost all the baby weight afterward plus some. After my second baby, my stomach had that stretched out look even after losing the weight and got worse looking after my third baby... my ab muscles are also separated (the vertical space between both sides). It's improving since I've been working out though. I'm sure if I added core exercises it would improve even more, but right now I'm just running.
I don't think that stretched out look will ever go away... at least not for me, but at least my stomach is somewhat flat.
