HELP

Im in some serious need for motivation. My past few months on my weight loss journey have been up and down. I started at 175 lost 10 pounds and then gained it all back. After a check up with my doctor she needs me to lose 5% of my body weight in one month. I'm just feeling really discouraged and unsure of where to start.

    Start by logging your food everyday and trying to stay close to your goal.

    I think I need to start being more strict with what I allow myself to eat, we eat moderately healthy it's portion control that kills me.

    You don't need to unnecessarily restrict yourself. It's more about calorie intake. Moderate your calories and portions, and just be mindful.

    Everything in moderation.

    Do you log your calorie intake? Do you exercise (including lifting). Those two go hand in hand.

    I found a food scale is my new best friend! as I was reading through all the community threads I found that was the common denominator. I keep right on the kitchen counter. I find that scale really helps with my actual calorie intake, therefore I feel more in control. Good luck on your journey. Feel free to add me!

    If portions are your problem, I tend to cook with a lot of veggies so it feels like im eating way more than what my calories are for that meal. After a month or so, you can adjust your higher calorie meals so your portions are smaller.

    I will try veggies this week! I'll make sure to throw a bunch in when I meal plan!
