Going Out/Drinks?

one thing I've had trouble with so far, is that I generally go out quite a bit. I perform at open mics, as well as sometimes my own show, and all but one are in bars (one is at a tea store which is not a problem)

Generally I don't have more than a drink, however I feel like such consistent alcohol is probably counterproductive to health and weight loss.

But at the same time, I feel guilty if I only have water or a diet coke, because in being there for the night and purchasing a such a minimal menu item, I feel like I'm not supporting the establishments. Any suggestions?

(And I will say, that in the last two weeks I just haven't gone to any open mics, I've been busy. But on regular weeks prior I was going to minimum 3 maximum 6)

Order what you want and leave a generous tip for the wait staff.

    Good idea.

As far as regular alcohol, one drink 3-4 nights a week is not going to derail you or affect your weight loss efforts as long as it fits in with your calories targets. I have a glass of wine most evenings and I still lose (106 lb so far). If it bothers you to drink, don't.

    Wine. It's always the answer.

I don't know why I never even thought of just leaving a better tip to offset my lack of buying stuff.

And lol to the wine y'all.

    Thanks for the input!
