virus?

Going to the web page this am I got an error, redirected to a page instructing me to call a 1-800 number, said Windows defender at the top. Made a buzzing noise, and the only way I could close chrome was to use the task manager. Anyone else? App on my phone is working fine.
And for some reason I don't have permission to post in the need help forum.

    Had the same thing happen to me this morning. I immediately shut down my computer. Hope to hear from others.

    Been happening to me for several days. Even tried opening it with both Chrome and IE and the virus still pops in. I hate to quit myfitnesspal, but if this keeps up I won't have a choice.

    It's definitely a virus. It hacked my computer and we had to clean it with a special software program. I was getting that pop up almost every day and would just shut down. Unfortunately, today, it gave me the big big, and hubby says it's a pretty nasty one. Won't be logging in on my computer anymore. Will have to learn how to use the app on my phone instead. Sucks. Good luck, all.
