need help with diet plan

My Dr told me I need to have a zero cholesterol diet and limit fatty foods. I feel like I'm doing that well, no meat, diary unless its soy, low fat intake and mainly all veggies. The problem I'm see I g is that carbs are high which can contribute to my triglyceride issue. How do I accomplish this diet? Baked potatoes are good but high carbs and starchy.

Did the dr not give you any more specific instructions? For example, did he tell you no meat, as in become a vegetarian, or no red meat? Chicken and turkey are usually allowed, and you are also usually encouraged to eat fish. Also skimmed milk should be fine too and low fat yoghurt. When it come to carbs, quantity is not as important as quality. The idea is to eat a diet high in fiber, and obviously not count fiber as carbs. So lots of whole grain things, vegetables (potatoes do not count), fruit.0

No fish or lean meat. Instructions were zero cholesterol and low fat intake. I'm sticking with mostly veggies, whole grains, fruits and monitoring everything i m eating. So far its been easier than I thought just wanted to make sure a high good carb intake was not something unusual

Triglycerides were very high and he thinks its a body function that cant break down cholesterol so eliminating it will help to tell0

May I ask why no fish? Since some fish are supposed to actually help with heart health and cholesterol?

Fish, like other animal foods, contains cholesterol. If her doctor told her no cholesterol, that's why.
There's other ways to get Omega 3 besides fish. You can get more than enough from a small handful of walnuts or a tablespoon of flaxseed per day. Other nuts and seeds also have Omega 3 and 6.
