Okay so I apologize for the gross subject but I literally can't go number two.... I go once a week and that's only because I load up on laxatives in order to do so. I know I get stopped up because of the meds I take for neuropathy but I feel like it hinders my weight loss in a way because my body is literally hanging on to everything I eat and not letting anything go. I'm at a loss, I eat a lot of fiber but then I just get bloated. Tips and tricks would be more than appreciated!!!!

Are you actually unable to go, as in constipated, or are you just not going as much? If you are eating less food, you're not going to "go" as much, either.

If you are on medications that cause constipation (like opiates, for example?) you need to be on a regular bowel protocol or you risk getting so constipated that you obstruct. My patients (I'm a nurse) that are on opiates take sennosides 1-2 tabs in the evening before bed. If this isn't enough, they take more, and if that isn't enough, we need to get their physician involved.

If the usual advice (more fibre/fluid/fat; getting up and walking) isn't working, you need to consider medication. Talk to your doctor.

Go eat 400 grams of brussel sprouts. Saute those bad boys up in some olive oil. Thank me later.
