Transplant in the Midwest

Hi,
I've been here since October 2014 & finally decided to check out the communities. My title is twofold, I've been a transplant to the Midwest from the east coast for 18 years now, though sometimes it just feels like yesterday. Also I started using MFP when my transplant doctor recommended it. I needed to get on the kidney transplant list and was too overweight to qualify, the doctor suggested MFP to help track calories & lose the weight so here I am. Since then I've lost enough weight to qualify for the transplant list and now I'm just hoping to get one. I still have a lot of weight to lose to get where I want to be and be as healthy as possible, but I hope to get there one day with MFP and hard work!
