In 31 days I have lost just over 10 pounds. Woohoo!

I'm interested in hearing tips from all the MFP "veterans" out there who have gone through the process.

What I've learned so far:

1. High Sodium can hide weight loss through water retention.
2. Drinking a caloric liquid is usually a waste of calories.
3. MFP can overestimate exercise... a lot (at least sometimes).
4. Don't eat back more than half of your exercise calories.
5. It feels GREAT to be healthy.

Thank you!!!

Well done on your great start!

I'm still a newbie, and have been using MFP for 25 days, but I wanted to comment anyway. I've lost 7 lbs so far.

    2. Drinking a caloric liquid is usually a waste of calories... Unless it's alcohol.;)

    4. Don't eat back more than half of your exercise calories. I'm worried this will lead to a slowed metabolism with me. But I might do the maths and see if this is pretty much what I'm already doing.

    6. It feels GREAT to be healthy. It really, really does!
