Hello, all.

I am new to MFP, but not new to trying to lose weight. I have had a stressful year of a new teaching assignment, health issues for both me and my husband, and lots of other things. Unfortunately, I am an emotional eater (working on that!), and I ballooned up to 230 lbs. I am 5'8", 36 yo, and have dropped back to 224. This is my first week of summer vacation, and I am determined to get back my health, both mentally and physically, this summer. I have PCOS, so it can be hard for me to lose but I do gain muscle pretty quickly.

Here's my problem. I am addicted to sugar. I know, especially with the PCOS, I really need to get off of it. Does anyone have any ideas to help me kick the habit? I did WW for a while, and lost some weight, but I really hated the fact that they seemed to encourage low fat/fat free foods with sugary fillers and artificial sweeteners, which I know are really bad for you. I'm trying to teach myself to eat more cleanly, more whole foods, etc.

Any tips to help?

Thanks in advance!

Amy
