How much protein do I need? Breastfeeding mommas

I don't have any weight loss goals, but I did start going to the gym last month with the goal of being healthy, energized and strong. I go to the gym about 4 days a week sometimes more, sometimes less. I do half cardio, half weights for a total of about 1.5 hours. I want to keep the little muscles I have so far and I know protein plays a big part. Right now my baby is breastfeeding full time so I know he's literally sucking the nutrients out of me. My question is how many grams of protein do I need? I've read on some sites that it's .53g/lb and on other sites it's as high as 1g/lb.

Stick with what your body is telling you. Drink plenty water and milk for good supply, don't skip meals, you need the energy. Its really eats up your nutrients. Could be best to speak to a breastfeeding consultant or midwife for more advice. Best of luck on your journey to a healthier you!!!0
