My first post to the board, I've been perfecting a weekly dinner meal plan that incorporates a weekly shopping list. These are recipes I have selected based on personal preference, and locally available easy to find ingredients.

Following this plan, with excercise and using myfitnesspal app, i have lost 32 lbs in four months. I am a male, 39 years old (married, sorry ladies ;)

The idea behind this is to streamline your grocery shopping, control your calories and nutrition, and have the necessary ingredients for 6 days worth of meals on hand ready to go.

I eat this exact menu every week with small variations in the types of vegetables. Total cooking time after practice drops to between 30-45 minutes. I buy high quality ingredients from our local butcher shop, and grocery store with the best produce selection. Total cost for the week is around 100$ for all seven days. This might be high but it includes King salmon, free range chicken, grass fed beef, and high quality pork.

I combine this meal plan with my own pre-prepared frozen lunches to take to work. I make large batches of shredded beef, grilled chicken breast, Lentils, rice, and frozen vegetables. I portion this into square tupperwares and freeze ten at a time. I make three variations of this this on a regular basis so that I always have a weeks worth of three types of delicious homemade lunches in the freezer.

People have asked me if I get tired of eating the same thing all the time. Absolutely not! I have become skilled in each meal preparation, and they come out FANTASTIC! I can hardly eat in a nice restaurant anymore because to be honest, the food is inferior.

Here is my current weekly meal plan:

Saturday: Salmon Po boy open face sandwich/ zuchini1
Sunday: Oven Roast Chicken/rice/lentils/salad
Monday: Beef Stir Fry/Rice
Tuesday: Homemade vegetable lovers chicken soup/salad
Wednesday: Pork chops with mushroom sauce/steamed sweet potatoes and squash/salad
Thursday: Home made Sushi rolls, salad, miso soup
Friday: Leftovers Omelet

And the shopping list. Note the list of staples at the end. the idea is to check that these items are on hand and purchase accordingly...This list does not include spices.
