My mom is an avid MFP user. She loves it and has lost 65 lbs! She's very excited and wants to continue and always wants stuff to help her out. She got a Fitbit for Christmas, and after that she got a Polar HRM. So she is somewhat spoiled now has far as electronics go. They have really helped her though.

Is there anything fun I can get her that would help her exercise? I was thinking about maybe a nice resistance band.

My wife says I should just get her a gift card to buy new clothes since most of hers no longer fits.

Thanks for any suggestions!

I think that the gift card idea is nice unless she has specifically said "I would like a resistance band." I know that, for me, I don't like random fitness equipment. I have specific things I want so getting something out of the blue, while a nice though, is not really useful.

    Congrats to your mom!

I agree with the gift card to buy new workout clothes. Or maybe a voucher for bootcamp sessions or something, if she'd be interested in that kind of thing.

what about an ipod or something for music (with an armband of course)

gift cards for new shoes/clothing is always good.

my son and husband built me a squat rack last year...it's da bomb...;)
