I just wanted to give a shout out to running! I'm thrilled, after doing Couch to 5k a couple of times, to have running as a tool in my arsenal. I don't run super regularly, very fast, or very far, but I plan to keep it as an activity that my body is able to do for the rest of my life.

I can't express how liberating it is to know that I can just get out there and RUN! Sometimes that's just the medicine you need to get through a tough day, burn off a little tension, or even just celebrate some good weather!

For all of you out there working your way through C25k or considering taking it up, I'm here to encourage you! Once you get through the process of teaching your body to run, you have done something wonderful for yourself. You don't have to run marathons or even use running as your main source of exercise if you don't want to. You can just do it for yourself!

I've never gotten past week two of Couch to 5k, but I think it's because it's too structured for me. I HAVE started running on the treadmill at the gym, even if it's just for a few minutes each session, at least twice a week. I'd love to be a runner, and plan on making that dream come true this year.
