Wholemeal Pie Recipe?

I have never tried to cook a pie with the regular type of crust (only cottage pie and quiche with a couscous base).

Does anyone have a good pie recipe using wholemeal flour? I have found a few but they don't specify the pan size.

I have a square baking dish that it about 18cm each side and rapprox 2.5 cm deep. Woukd that work or would I need a proper pie tray?

Any thoughts or links would be greatly appreciated.
