Hey everyone
I used to be on here ages and when I was I was very calorie restricting and did a lot of Cardio! I've been away and started to use iifym and kind of reverse diet. I am now maintaining my weight on 2200 calories. I'm ready to start losing a bit of weight now and I was going to introduce carb cycling so I can have higher carb days on the weekend when I go out. I'm looking for a couple of friends on here who are into iifym and carb cycling for advice and motivation.
I'm nicola, and im 25 year old. Feel free to add me and I would be grateful if anyone has any opinions / information theyd like to shate on carb cycling

Usually Carb cycling works well if you spread out your days- 3 low, 1 high. As long as you don't cut out your carbs completely because it will stall your metabolism. For example, on a low day you would consume 60g of carbs total and on a high day you would go back to your suggested amount from iifym calculator. Or use going out as your "cheat" meal and stay on track the rest of the week. Just don't go overboard on alcohol because that's basically pouring liquid fat right on top of your muscles. Especially if you're trying to lose the "last 10 pounds." Hope this helps!

Hi Rebecca,
If you cut down your carbs, must you replace those macros with let's say, more protein or more fat for that day? As in to meet your total calorie count.
