I just made my first ever green smoothie, and I thought the recipe was wonderful and I would share it!
1 1/2 cup kale; de-stemmed
1 cup water
1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
5 strawberries
1 whole banana
1/2 cup ice
Blend the water, kale and yogurt until smooth.
Add the fruits and blend until smooth.
Add the ice last and crush until smooth.
Enjoy!!
And please, let me know if you have another awesome smoothie recipe! I'm looking forward to hearing them.

I have been making this in the morning
1 cup of frozen berries mixed
1/2 cup of green beans
1/2 jalepeno pepper
Watermelon as much as you want
piece of cucumber
banana
Pomegranate juice about 4oz
This is cold, fruity and packs a punch.0 -
This is my breakfast (it's low carb)
1 cup leafy greens
1/4 avocado
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1/4 tbsp coconut butter
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
stevia or your preferred sweetner to taste
2 raw eggs (organic... I'm too scared to eat factory farmed eggs raw)0 -
Just watched an episode of Dr. Oz and the Paleoista person (sp?) put hard boiled eggs into her smoothie, right there with you on the raw egg scare. Never tried green beans (or thought to) in a smoothie...can you taste them? I try and do cucumber, celery-all the diarrhetic I can tolerate. Thoughts?0

MMMM... Sounds good!
Here is my breakfast:
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/2 tbsp Coco powder
1 tbsp peanut butter
1-2 tbsp splenda
and lots of ice - blend away!0 -
I actually freeze celery and throw that in sometimes. I never can taste the vegetables as the pepper overpowers everything.
I use any frozen green vegetable we have as I hate vegetables. I do add peanut butter sometimes and have thrown potatoes
in. Not saying this tastes great but It really starts the day out right and since doing these smoothies I feel stronger with more
energy.0 -
I do like the idea of frozen vegetables. I usually use fresh spinach and/or kale, but never thought about the frozen green beans or even freezing the celery and/or cucumbers...all excellent ideas. Thank you!!0

I like
-1 banana
-2 tbsp nut butter
-1 scoop choc protein powder
-tonnnnnns of spinach
-ice
-some agave nectar0 -
28g Cinnamon protein powder
13g Flax Seed
7g Psyllium Husk
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
6 oz Strawberries
3-4 oz Banana
4 oz spinach
When I use up the protein powder I'll probably switch to nonfat Greek yoghurt for the protein. The powder is expensive and I'm not sure it's really necessary for my goals.0 -
Bump. Pinterest has a ton of smoothie recipes on there, too.0

saving these for later0

Definitely saving all of these. Jalapenos in a smoothie is not one I would have thought of! Thank you all for sharing your other recipes.0
