up and down because of meds

I get so excited to have lost weight and then three days later i weigh only 1/2 pound less...the days prior it showed me i had lost 2.5 lbs and then blob...my body decides to retain 2 lbs of water and it is so demotivating at times.
i have never found it this hard to lose weight.
