How do you stop yourself from stress eating? or feeling like you should just give up all together?

    I'm a big stress/bored eater and what I started doing is having either mints or gum and chugging water otherwise i will eat and eat a bunch of crap and then get mad at myself for it. So whenever you find yourself going to get food grab a mint (mint is my favorite because after you have mint nothing tastes good so you cant eat!) Just keep it on your counter so its easy to grab!

    Can you get outside for a walk? As corny as it sounds, sunlight is related to mood.

    Can you phone a friend and vent? That usually helps because after getting it all out I realize my problems aren't as major as I thought they were. If you can't, write all your worries out on paper. Cross out all the things that you have no control over and let em go. Determine what you can do to fix the remaining ones and then cross those out. Your list should be pretty short now right? Less stress :smile:

    Do you have a pet? Animals are also linked to elevated mood. Play with your kitten or take the dog for a walk.

    I'm sorry you're feeling stressed. If all else fails, turn on music REALLY LOUD and sing at the top of your lungs. That is failsafe for me.
