Weight Lifting and Rest Weeks

I am going to be starting NROLFW at the end of the month.
My questions is, as I am already currently doing a resistance/weight training program and have been for about 6-7 wks should I take a rest week before I start the program (as per the suggestion in the book taking a week off at the end of a stage)
The program I am doing at the moment is 3 sets of supersets, 3 circuits of each with progressively adding weight every few sessions.
Thanks

If you feel like you need it, yes. Otherwise, no.
Circuits and supersets probably didnt really tax your CNS too much, so, probably not. I am not looking at your exact program, but, novices dont have the work capacity, nor endurance, to really destroy themselves doing supersets, and circuit training is notoriously more of a cardio workout than a hypertrophy program. Less havoc, less need for a deload/recovery. Thats my 2 cents.
ETA: Good luck on the new program. I bet you'll see better results.0 -
Many lifters make use of a deload week. Big 4 exercises, but a couple sets of a few reps at low weight.0

That's spot on actually and it is definitely cardio as my heart is banging through it and sits around 170. Though the gym guy had me doing 15 reps at lower weights and I changed it to 10-12 at higher weights it's still what I would class.more as resistance training I am doing now than weight training if that makes sense.
I'll carry on doing this for another couple of weeks and then just move onto to New Rules.
