I've been working diligently to become more healthy and lose weight since Oct. 2014. I'm happy to say I've successfully lost 40 lbs. I was experiencing soreness as well. I added an energy/ recovery drink to my workout regiment. Oh my what a difference. Also with the weight loss I played with the daily calorie intake to get the best results. Everyone is different . I started at 1200 daily but all I was doing was maintaing that current weight, so I decreased to 1050 to 1100 and the fat started melting away. Remember to hydrate. Hope this helps
