What a FANTASTIC thread!
Most of my calories are snacks. I snack all day, especially now that it is summer!
I eat 1/4 cup of prunes at least once a week.
Mandarin oranges, banana dipped in chocolate silk Jif, guacamole with blue corn tortilla chips, half of a PBJ on Sara Lee light wheat bread.0 -
1/2 cup slow churned ice cream or 1/2 cup frozen yogurt (90-100),
popcorn
a mini quesadilla (1 corn tortilla 50 cals, 1 ounce low fat shredded cheese around 50, nuke in microwave or cook on skillet with 0 cal spray)
1/2 cup cottage cheese (mmm protein) with some melon or by itself with a little salt and pepper
nuts (just watch out for portion sizes!!)
1/8 cup sunflower seeds
pretzel sticks
veggie slices with hummus or dipped in plain greek yogurt mixed with spices like sage, dillweed, parsley, onion powder etc,
slice an apple nuke it 30 seconds and sprinkle with cinnamon and stevia
whole grain pita pocket with low fat ricotta cheese and some garlic powder
frozen grapes or frozen mango for a sweet treat
frozen banana blended to make an "ice cream" like texture
1/4 cup oatmeal cooked add in applesauce and cinnamon
applie slices with pb2
1/2 a baked potato with salsa
light soup
plain rice cake with apple butter or pb or jelly
1 cup frozen spinach thawed (30) with 1/4 cup fat free ricotta (45) and garlic powder and oregano
i'm not a big fan of 100 cal packs that people have mentioned, just because of the refined flour and lack of nutrients, they prolly aren't as satisfying as something else. they are convenient though so nothing wrong with having them around, i always feel more satisfied having one of these snacks though instead of a 100 cal packet of chips ahoy or something0 -
two Ak-Mak crackers with a wedge of light laughing cow cheese = 79 calories0

Almonds, raw, 15 almonds - 91 calories
Dates, raw and pitted, 5 dates - 91 calories
2 tbsp hummus and 1 small carrot - 90 calories
Blueberries, 1 cup - 82 calories
Fruit - Pluot, 2 medium (132g) - 80 calories
1 multigrain rice cake and 1 Tbsp hummus - 75 calories
Watermelon, raw, 1.5 cups - 69 calories
Gala apple, small, 1 apple - 55 calories0 -
generally i have a clementine orange when i want a snack, and it usually does the trick.
if i need something more satisfying, I go with a hard boiled egg, hummus and carrots, dry roasted unsalted almonds, a small banana, a pear, 2 clementine oranges, or a small spoonful of crunchy peanut butter. I have come to love fruit as a snack and I try to stay away from all pre-packaged, processed "snack packs," like the 100 calorie packs.0 -
I have yogurt popsicles that are only 40 cal. I feel like I'm still getting my sweet fix without all the cal.0
-
Yoplait light yogurt, I love the Pineapple Upside Down Cake and Boston Creme Pie. I also try to eat a banana or have some grapes with it.0

If your a chocolate nut (which I am) I like to take Kelloggs Krave cereal, the double chocolate one and eat it dry. 3/4 cup is only 120 cal. It is shaped like little squares, so by eating them one at a time it takes a while to eat and by they time your finished your no longer hungry and actually had something healthy.
Fresh fruit is always a good thing. I also found a sugar free fudgesicle that is only 40 calories, again if you don't bite it it lasts a long time and your over being hungry by the time your finished. Plus you feel like you had a treat. The Fiber One bars - chocolate-pretzel is my current favorite for 90 cal. I did just find that Meijer brand fiber bars are only 100 cal and 1/2 the cost of the Fiber one.
I loved this post. I learnt a lot of new ideas. Thanks for asking.0 -
A small banana. a little over 100 cals but Danio high protein yoghurts are amazing, really creamy and filling, about 130 cals. I eat one daily! Kallo chocoalte rice cakes are a healthy snack.0

I chop up loads of cucumber/celery sticks and make the most amazing curry mayo dip/ garlic mayo dip- its barely 50 calories for loads of cucumber and dip!
Dip directions-
2tbsp of either helmans 'lighter than light mayo'- = 20cal
OR
2tbsp of fage, fat free greek yoghurt- = approx 30 cal
AND
1 tsp of korma paste- I use a mild one made by Patak. - 20cal
OR
1/2 tsp of 'lazy garlic' or garlic puree from a tube.
With the curry dip you can also add in spices like- cumin, or curry powder. Both dips are actually nicer if you make them an hour or two before, loads of flavor going on!0 -
Small banana0

if you're in the UK, alpen light bars are under 70 calories and have chocolate, lemon drizzle, cherry bakewell etc flavours. i use them to replace a chocolate bar most days. also in between meals i find boiled sweets like cherry drops are handy - last a while and only 15 or so calories.0

Cheese Stick!0
-
I mix cottage cheese and salsa. Yummy and satisfying!0
-
two rice cakes (about 30 cals each) with houmous0
-
Cherries are my latest favorite snack.0
-
light cheese stick
100 grams of strawberries or watermelon
hard boiled egg
100-200 grams of cucumber
"dip" maybe with light sour cream and ranch dressing powder0 -
My latest go to snack is strawberries drizzled with some wildflower honey I picked up at the farmer's market last weekend.0

I love crackers and hummus or the 100 calorie snack bags but I have found out the hard way I will eat the entire box so now I stick with the 100 cal popcorn or real fruit popsicle (80 cal). I find even it I "screw up and have 2" I still haven't done that much damage and it makes me happy! Another great go to is the veggie and hummus. It is filling and low-cal...and I can't go overboard. But thanks everyone because I got some new ideas I want to try! Go MFP0

Try black bean salsa on celery, a piece of sweet pepper, or a leaf from a romaine heart. The beans give protein and fiber, and the spiciness of the salsa makes it more satisfying.
My go-to smaller snack, though, is a pickle. It's high in sodium, but otherwise largely water. A large dill pickle will give you 1.5 g of fiber, about 15 calories, and a feeling of being full.0 -
Seaweed. You can get it at Costco or in some grocery stores. It is delicious. Also one or two dried figs.0
