    You're never alone here. I'm not disabled (yet!) but I've had several very good friends who have been. One was hit by a truck as she was getting into her car and the truck shut the car door on her back and paralyzed her from the waist down. She was about 100 pounds overweight when it happened, but just from pushing her wheelchair around, and helping build a house that was designed for her disability, along with a class for wheelchair exercises, she lost a lot of weight. Determination is the key.
