    Maybe I am just getting old, but I don't remember being young enough or fashionable enough to wear glasses like those.

    (I also want to point out mesmerised is the Australian spelling, it's not just that I am illiterate).
    Don't worry wasn't judging you on your spelling. I actually originally spelled it with an"s" but autocorrect changed it :) guess it can be spelled both ways.
