Counting Steps and Running

So many of us know that many different phones track our steps for the day. I have the iPhone 6+. I just went for a run and my phone counted a lot of steps. So since my phone counted a lot of steps, what do I do? Do I input the workout? Do I not? If I input the workout will I be putting in too much exercise/ calories burned for today?

I think you just have to pick a way to do it and be consistent with it for a while. If you don't see the results you expect, it's time to tweak something. Personally I set my activity level to sedentary and that way I eat back all the calories my step counter gives me. I never add any additional exercise bc this seems like double dipping to me. Other people will have different methods I'm sure. Just pick something that makes sense to you and keeps things fairly simple and stick with it0
