Hello MFPers...here is my specific situation: I'm a tour guide. It's not unusual for me to walk 10 miles a day. I need some sneakers that can take the impact but also aren't the standard Nike/Reebok/"athletic" style. Like an airline stewardess, I'm expected to be "classy/cute" in some ways, and even if that weren't the case I wouldn't want huge sneakers anyway– I lived through the puffy sneakers of the '80s and '90s, I have no interest in revisiting that dark hole of fashion ever again.
Any suggestions?
